A Century of Progress

Yamaguchi Nut was founded in 1924 by its first president, Shota Yamaguchi, as a specialist maker of machined brass hex nuts. As manufacturing technology advanced, the company installed a nut former in 1975 and began producing brass hex nuts by cold heading. Since its founding it has been known as "Yamaguchi, the brass nut maker." To run brass hex nut production unattended around the clock, the company built the present Saitama Plant in 1988. Drawing on skills built up one job at a time, it stepped up from nut formers to parts formers as a solutions-oriented supplier, and "Yamaguchi, the brass nut maker" became "Yamaguchi, the special parts maker." In the 21st century, as globalization advances, Japanese manufacturers are expected to supply high-value-added products with high quality at low cost. Yamaguchi Nut continually improves its technology, methods, and management, and will keep contributing broadly to society.

February 1953	● Incorporated.
1975	● Introduced cold heading machines (nut formers) and began the shift in production method.
1976	● Masatoshi Yamaguchi became the second president.
1988	● Opened a new plant in Kurihashi (now Kuki City), Saitama.
1996	● Expanded the Saitama Plant.
2002	● Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
May 2005	● Built a new cold heading building at the Saitama Plant.
September 2005	● Seiichi Yamaguchi became the third president.
December 2005	● Installed a parts former with a maximum cutoff diameter of 23 mm.
2008	● Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
November 2012	● Built a new secondary processing building at the Saitama Plant.
June 2013	● Established the Philippine subsidiary.
February 2014	● Philippines Plant started operation.
2020	● Expanded the cold heading building at the Saitama Plant.
2024	● Rebuilt the Saitama Plant buildings for die making, equipment work, 100% inspection, and shipping/packing. ● Celebrated the 100th anniversary of the company's founding.
